WIAC2025 Code of Conduct

WIAC2025 is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for all participants, including attendees, sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, and organizers. This Code of Conduct outlines expected behavior, prohibited conduct, and enforcement procedures.

1. Applicability
This Code of Conduct applies to:
✅ All attendees, whether in-person or virtual.
Sponsors, exhibitors, and vendors representing their organizations.
Speakers, panelists, and moderators participating in sessions.
Conference organizers and volunteers.
✅ Any person engaging with WIAC2025 online platforms and social media.

2. Expected Behavior
All participants are expected to:
Maintain professionalism in all interactions, both verbal and non-verbal.
Respect diversity—regardless of race, gender, age, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or background.
Foster a welcoming atmosphere for open discussion and scientific exchange.
Comply with venue policies, security guidelines, and instructions from conference staff.
Report any incidents of misconduct to the conference organizing team.

3. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Harassment & Discrimination
🚫 Unwanted verbal or physical conduct based on race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or national origin.
🚫 Offensive jokes, slurs, or discriminatory remarks in any context.
🚫 Unwelcome sexual advances, suggestive comments, or inappropriate physical contact.

3.2 Disruptive or Inappropriate Behavior
🚫 Yelling, threats, or aggressive behavior towards other participants.
🚫 Interrupting speakers or sessions in a way that is not constructive.
🚫 Intentional damage to property or venue facilities.

3.3 Misuse of Sponsorship Privileges
🚫 Sponsors and exhibitors must not engage in:
  • Aggressive marketing tactics or unwanted solicitation.
  • Misinformation or deceptive advertising of products/services.
  • Unauthorized distribution of promotional materials in restricted areas.

3.4 Recording, Photography & Media
🚫 Unauthorized recording, photography, or live streaming of conference sessions, attendees, or exhibitors without prior consent.
🚫 Use of images, logos, or branding from WIAC2025 for misleading or unauthorized commercial purposes.

3.5 Unauthorized Sales & Promotions
🚫 Selling or promoting products/services outside designated sponsorship areas.
🚫 Impersonation of WIAC2025 staff or event organizers.

4. Enforcement & Reporting
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously. Actions may include:

🔹 First Warning: A verbal or written notice to cease prohibited behavior.
🔹 Removal from the Event: Ejection from WIAC2025 without a refund.
🔹 Revocation of Sponsorship Rights: Loss of sponsorship privileges, including booth removal.
🔹 Legal Action: If necessary, WIAC2025 reserves the right to report misconduct to legal authorities.

How to Report Violations
If you experience or witness misconduct:

All reports will be handled confidentially and professionally.

5. Agreement & Compliance
By attending or sponsoring WIAC2025, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Code of Conduct.
WIAC2025 reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
